I wrote a questionnaire to help me with my research for my school magazine. i wrote the questionnaire to find out peoples opinions on magazines and what they would want from a magazine and why they purchase that magazine. I asked questions on why they would buy it, what attracts them to that magazine, what price range do would they pay, what they want from that magazine also if they take any tips from the magazine they buy. i did a questionnaire about magazines to see what other people think should be inside magazines and to see what different magazines people are interested in. i also asked what magazines they like, films and music as it will give more of a background to what kind of peopkle listen to different music,films etc. i think by doing this questionnaire it will help me with the magazine cover i will be designing as i know what will interest people and catch their eye.

I did a questionnaire to find out information about different magazines to help me find out what type of things to put in my school magazine. I asked questions like what magazines do they read if any, how many do they buy or how oftern, how much they would spend on a magazine and whats there favorite part of that magazine because they would help me understand what price, items, articles ect to include on the magazine. I asked if the reputation of the magazine had anything to do with why they purchased it and if there friends brought the same magazines to find out if it was just the person im asking or if their group of mates do to so that as well as the 10 people i asked i could have more of an idea of what magazines people of a certian age group purchase. I also asked questions like hwo many duifferent types of magazines do you buy and if they read them closely or just skim through to know if i should include more photos then writing.

We did this questionnaire to help us understand on what type of magazines people like and how to layout our magazines. We also did this questionnaire to help us so we know what information we need for our magazine cover e.g what the masthead should look like, should it be bold, should it be colourful, what size it should be. We also did this questionnaire to find out what magazine genre they liked. We also asked to see what they would like to see in the school magazine, so if we know what they would like to see we are able to put that into our magazine.

My Questionnare

This are the questions i used to find out different peoples opinions on magazines. I used these questions so i could get some statistics to help me with my own magazine, i asked 10 people at a different age range the same 14 questions. I asked a range of questions about the appearance of the magazine if it attracks them to buy that magazine for example the masterhead is bold and bright or they buy it because of the image on the front cover. I also asked what they would want to see in the school magazines they read so that i no when i make my own magazine what i need to put inside the magazine.

Using Serif Photo Plus

Me and Tarran experimented with the package to find out what the different tools did,

This is the original image that we used. After messing around with the different tools we added a light effect around the edges making the middle of the image darker, we then adjusted the brightness and contrast which then made the centre of the image lighter, we then added a lens distortion which makes it look like the image is in a bowl.

Me and Ben was experimenting with a design package called Serif Photo Plus and used the picture below. We used a tool in the effect toolbar called vignette which puts a spotlight behind the picture, then we used a zoom blur to create a blurred effect that it is in the distance
