The idea of this advert is to come across as humorous to the public, because it is referring to sex as a ticking time bomb because of the effect that sex has on men. The wire and the bomb is a very clever way of describing sex in a Non verbal way.
The spark on the wire connotes that the man has inserted his penis into the woman.
The wire in this Non verbal advert connotes that man and the woman are having sex and the further along the line you go the closer the man gets to exploding his bodily fluids in the woman.
At the end of the wire there is a knot which represents the condom and which stops the mans fluids getting to the woman therefore making sex safe and more enjoyable.
The word ‘Durex’ in this advert is the logo for the condom, this logo helps people know what to look for when searching for condoms.
